Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) closed Highway 7 south of Carleton Place aft a fatal two-vehicle clang Wednesday morning.
In a societal media post, OPP said a westbound SUV crossed the centre lane and collided with an eastbound tractor-trailer southbound of White Road conscionable aft 5 a.m.
The 54-year-old antheral from Ottawa who was the sole occupant of the SUV was pronounced dormant astatine the scene, constabulary said. The motortruck operator was not earnestly injured.
The road was closed successful the country until astir 12:45 p.m., OPP said.
The clang happened astir 11 kilometres southwest of downtown Carleton Place and 60 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.
