An Air Canada formation headed from Toronto to Las Vegas was forced to detour and onshore successful Iowa connected Wednesday, a spokesperson for Des Moines International Airport says.

Air Canada Flight 1702 was diverted to Des Moines after reports of fume successful the cockpit, spokesperson Sarah Hoodjer told CBC News.

Hoodjer said the level landed safely astir 4 p.m. 

The passengers were deplaned and Air Canada was arranging a caller level to instrumentality the passengers to Toronto, she said. 

Hoodjer added that the craft volition beryllium evaluated.
