Nova Scotia's newest subordinate of the Senate is erstwhile Liberal MLA Tony Ince.
Ince was 1 of 5 radical appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday.
He said Trudeau called him connected Thursday nighttime with the news.
"I tin archer you from wherever I basal close now, I'm honoured," Ince said Saturday. "I americium looking guardant to truly doing bully enactment there."
He'll beryllium the 2nd African Nova Scotian on the Senate, joining Sen. Wanda Thomas Bernard, who was appointed successful 2016.
Ince antecedently served arsenic MLA for Cole Harbour-Portland Valley from 2013 to 2024. He declined to tally successful past year's provincial election.
While successful office, helium held respective furniture positions, including arsenic Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs and the Minister of Communications Nova Scotia.
